Terms and Conditions of Accommodation

(Scope of Application)
Article 1
The accommodation contract and related agreements entered into by the hotel with the guest shall be governed by these general terms and conditions, and any matters not provided for in these general terms and conditions shall be governed by laws and regulations or generally established customs.
  • 2. In the event that the hotel agrees to a special contract to the extent that it does not contravene laws, regulations and custom, such special contract shall prevail notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
(Application for accommodation contract)
Article 2
A person who wishes to apply for an accommodation contract with the hotel shall provide the following information to the hotel.
    • (1) Name of the person staying
    • (2) Date of stay
    • (3) Other matters deemed necessary by the hotel
  • 2. In the event that the lodger requests to continue the stay beyond the date of stay stipulated in item 2 of the preceding paragraph during the stay, the hotel shall treat such request as a new application for a contract of stay at the time such request is made.
(Formation of Accommodation Contract, etc.)
Article 3
  • The accommodation contract shall be concluded when the hotel has accepted the application as described in the preceding article. However, this shall not apply when this hotel proves that it did not give its consent.
  • 2. When an accommodation contract has been concluded pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, an application fee determined by this hotel for the period of stay shall be paid by the date designated by this hotel.
  • 3. The deposit shall first be appropriated to the accommodation charge ultimately payable by the guest, and if a situation arises in which the provisions of Articles 6 and 16 apply, the deposit shall be appropriated in the order of penalty followed by compensation, and any remaining amount shall be returned upon payment of the charge in accordance with Article 11.
  • 4. In the event that the application fee stipulated in Paragraph 2 of this article is not paid by the date designated by the hotel in accordance with the provisions of the same paragraph, the accommodation contract shall cease to be effective. However, this shall apply only in the event that this hotel has notified the guest to that effect when designating the date for payment of the application fee.
(Special agreement not to require payment of the application fee)
Article 4
  • Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph 2 of the preceding article, the hotel may accept a special agreement not to require the payment of the application fee set forth in Paragraph 2 of the preceding article after the conclusion of the contract.
  • 2. In the event that the hotel does not request payment of the application fee as stipulated in Paragraph 2 of the preceding article or does not specify the date for payment of said application fee, the hotel shall be deemed to have complied with the special agreement stipulated in the preceding paragraph.
(Refusal to enter into an accommodation contract)
Article 5
The hotel may refuse to conclude a contract of accommodation in the following cases
  • (1)When the application for accommodation is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  • (2) When there is no room available due to full occupancy.
  • (3) When it is recognized that the person seeking accommodation is likely to conduct himself/herself in a manner contrary to the provisions of the law, public order, or good morals in connection with the accommodation.
  • (4) When it is recognized that the person who intends to stay falls under any of the following (a) through (c).
    • (a) A crime syndicate (hereinafter referred to as “crime syndicate”) stipulated in Article 2, Item 2 of the Law Concerning Prevention of Unjust Acts by Crime Syndicates (Law No. 77, 1991) (hereinafter referred to as “Boryokudan”), Boryokudan members prescribed in Article 2, Item 6 of the same law (hereinafter referred to as “Boryokudanin”), Boryokudan or Boryokudan-associated persons or other antisocial forces
    • (b) A Boryokudan or a juridical person or other organization whose business activities are controlled by Boryokudan or Boryokudan-involved persons
    • (c) A juridical person whose officers fall under the category of Bouryokudanin.
  • (5) When the person seeking accommodation has said or done something that causes significant inconvenience to other guests
  • (6) When the person seeking accommodation is clearly recognized as a person with a contagious disease
  • (7) When a violent demand is made with regard to the accommodation, or when a burden exceeding a reasonable range is demanded.
  • (8) When the hotel is unable to accommodate the guest due to natural disasters, facility malfunctions, or other unavoidable reasons.
  • (9) When it falls under the case specified in Article 6 of the Enforcement Ordinance of the Yamanashi Prefecture Ryokan Law.
(The guest’s right to cancel the contract)
Article 6
The guest may cancel the accommodation contract by submitting a request to the hotel.
  • 2. In the event that the accommodation contract is cancelled in whole or in part for reasons attributable to the guest (except in the event that this hotel specifies the due date for payment of the application money and demands payment thereof pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 2, and the guest cancels the accommodation contract prior to such payment), this hotel shall charge a penalty fee. However, in the event that this hotel accepts the special contract stipulated in Article 4, Paragraph 1, this will only be the case when this hotel has notified the guest of the obligation to pay the penalty when the guest cancels the accommodation contract in accepting the special contract.
(The hotel’s right to cancel the contract)
Article 7
The hotel may cancel the accommodation contract in the following cases
  • (1)When it is recognized that the guest is likely to commit an act contrary to the provisions of law, public order, or good morals in connection with the accommodation, or when it is recognized that the guest has committed such an act.
  • (2)When it is recognized that the lodger falls under any of the following (a) through (c)
    • (a) Boryokudan (organized crime groups), Boryokudan members, quasi-organized crime groups, or persons related to Boryokudan, or other antisocial forces
    • (b) When the guest is a juridical person or other organization whose business activities are controlled by a crime syndicate or a member of a crime syndicate
    • (c) A juridical person, one of whose officers falls under the category of Bouryokudan (organized crime group) member.
  • (3)When a guest has said or done something that causes significant inconvenience to other guests
  • (4)When it is clearly recognized that the lodger is a person with a contagious disease
  • (5)When a violent demand is made with regard to the accommodation, or when a burden exceeding a reasonable range is demanded of the lodger.
  • (6)When the hotel is unable to accommodate the guest due to a force majeure such as a natural disaster.
  • (7)When a case falls under the provisions of Article 6 of the Yamanashi Prefecture Ryokan Law Enforcement Regulations.
  • (8)When a guest does not comply with the prohibitions (limited to those necessary for fire prevention) in the Welcome Guide (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules of Use”
2. When this hotel cancels the accommodation contract in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the hotel will not charge the guest for accommodation services that have not yet been provided.
(Accommodation Registration)
Article 8
Guests are required to register the following information
  • (1) Name, age, sex, address and occupation of the guest
  • (2) Date and time of departure
  • (3) Other items deemed necessary by the hotel
2. If the guest intends to make payment of the charges in accordance with Article 11 by a credit card, accommodation voucher, accommodation subsidy coupon, or any other method that can be substituted for currency, the guest shall present them at the time of registration in advance as described in the preceding paragraph.
(Hours of use of guest rooms)
Article 9
  • Guests may use the guest rooms of the hotel from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. the following day. However, in the case of a consecutive stay, the guest may use the room all day except for the day of arrival and the day of departure.
  • 2. If the guest has not checked out of the room after 11:30 a.m. on the day of departure, an additional charge of 6,000 yen per extra hour shall be added to the room charge.
(Compliance with the Rules of Use)
Article 10
Guests shall comply with the rules of use established by the hotel and sent to guests in advance.
(Payment of charges)
Article 11
  • Accommodation charges, etc., payable by the guest shall be in accordance with Appendix 1.
  • 2. Payment of the accommodation charges, etc. set forth in the preceding paragraph shall be made online when requested by the hotel, in currency or by a method acceptable to the hotel, such as a room voucher or credit card, that can be used in lieu of currency.
  • 3. The hotel shall charge the room charge even if the guest voluntarily does not stay in the room after the hotel has provided the room to the guest and made it available for use.
(Liability of the hotel)
Article 12

The hotel shall compensate for any damage caused to the guest in the performance of the accommodation contract and related agreements, or in the event of non-fulfillment of such agreements. However, this shall not apply if the damage is not caused by reasons attributable to the hotel.

2. The hotel has Ryokan liability insurance in case of fire or other emergency.

(Treatment in the event that the hotel is unable to provide the contracted room)
Article 13
  • In the event that the hotel is unable to provide a guest with a contracted room, the hotel shall, with the consent of the guest, arrange for other accommodation under the same conditions as far as possible.
  • 2. In the event that the hotel is unable to find other accommodation notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the hotel shall pay the guest a compensation fee equivalent to the amount of the penalty, which shall be applied to the amount of compensation for damages. However, if there is no reason attributable to the hotel for not being able to provide the guest room, no compensation shall be paid.
(Retention of a guest’s baggage or personal belongings)
Article 14
  • In the event that a guest’s luggage or personal belongings are left at the hotel after the guest has checked out, and the owner is found, the hotel shall contact the owner and request instructions from him or her.However, if the hotel does not receive instructions from the owner, or if the owner is unknown, the hotel will keep the baggage for 14 days including the day of discovery, and then dispose of it.
  • 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, food, beverages, magazines, items that may damage the sanitary environment, and other items equivalent to waste will be disposed of the following day, even if they are still within the storage period.
(Responsibility for parking)
Article 15
When a guest uses the parking lot of the hotel, regardless of whether or not the guest has deposited the keys to the vehicle, the hotel shall lend the guest a parking space and shall not be responsible for the management of the vehicle. However, the hotel shall be liable to compensate for any damage caused by the hotel’s intentional or negligent management of the parking lot.
(Liability of the guest)
Article 16
In the event that the hotel suffers damages due to the intentional or negligent fault of a guest, said guest shall compensate the hotel for such damages.
(Changes to these General Terms and Conditions)
Article 17
These General Terms and Conditions shall be deemed to be the standardized terms and conditions under the Civil Code, and each provision of these General Terms and Conditions shall be changed in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Code when it conforms to the general interests of the guest or when there are reasonable grounds for requiring such a change.
  • 2. Any changes to these General Terms and Conditions shall be applied from the effective date specified at the time of posting the contents of the changed provisions on the website designated by the Company. In the event of any amendment to these General Terms and Conditions, a document stating the details of the amendment shall be kept in the guest room.

Attention
  1. 1. The penalty charge is calculated from the date when the notice of cancellation of the contract is received from the guest.
  2. 2. % is the ratio of the penalty charge to the basic room charge. However, for accommodation packages including breakfast, etc., the published amount (hereinafter referred to as “package rate”) shall be collected as the penalty charge.
  3. 3. In the case of a contract where the same guest stays for consecutive nights, the basic room charge (or package rate) for all consecutive dates shall be collected as the penalty charge. If the contracted number of days is shortened, the basic room charge (or package rate) for the shortened number of days shall be collected as a penalty charge.

Terms of Use

Article 1 (Scope of Application)
1. These Terms of Use shall apply to the use of the facilities and services of G.O.A.T (hereinafter referred to as “the facility”).
2.Guests shall abide by these Terms and Conditions of Use, the General Accommodation Conditions, the contents of the Welcome Guide, and any requests made by e-mail or orally.
Article 2 (House Rules)
  1. No smoking in the facility: Smoking is prohibited throughout the facility, and smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
  2. Disposal of garbage: Garbage must be separated and disposed of in designated areas.
  3. Damage or loss of facilities or equipment: In the event of damage or loss of facilities or equipment, guests are responsible for the cost of repair or purchase of replacements.
  4. Limitation on cooking with smoke: Do not cook smoky dishes such as barbeque with inadequate ventilation in the room.
  5. Regarding window control: Please always close windows before leaving the room.
  6. Equipment handling: Any equipment broken or lost should be reported immediately. Please keep broken dishes and glasses separate from other trash so that they can be identified for the safety of the cleaning staff. If necessary, you may be asked to pay for the cost of purchasing replenishment.
  7. No access to the area under the building: For safety reasons, access to the area under the building is prohibited.
  8. Use of fireworks: Fireworks other than hand-held fireworks (e.g., skyrocket fireworks, bottle rocket fireworks, and jet fireworks) are prohibited as dangerous and disruptive. If you do use fireworks, please make sure that the fire is properly extinguished to prevent the spread of fire to the facilities and vegetation.
  9. Pets: Pets are not allowed in any building other than those where pets are allowed. In the interest of safety and hygiene, and to maintain a comfortable environment for all guests, please strictly adhere to this rule. Only dogs are allowed as pets.
Article 3 (Regulations regarding sauna use)
  1. Use of the sauna is at your own risk. The facility is not responsible for any accidents or health problems that may result from the use of the sauna.
  2. To avoid the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, please make sure to close the door of the stove after lighting it, except when adding additional wood.
  3. Always turn off the ventilation fan and do not close the air intake.
  4. Never extinguish a fire with water, as this will damage the stove.
  5. Do not remove wood from the stove once it has been put in.
  6. Shoes are strictly prohibited in the sauna room and on the wooden deck.
  7. Do not pour water on any surface other than the sauna stones.
  8. Never place gas cylinders in the sauna.
  9. Please do not chop wood or cut wood on the wooden deck.
  10. If you feel suffocated, exit the sauna immediately and ventilate the sauna.
Article 4 (Use of Clear Streams)
In order to safely enjoy the clear streams in the vicinity of our facility, please observe the following rules.
  1. Swimsuit obligations: Please be sure to wear a swimsuit when entering the river. Please refrain from entering the water if you are not properly equipped.
  2. Children under junior high school age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when entering the river. Please ensure that your child’s safety is your first priority and that you supervise your child at all times.
  3. Prohibition of drinking alcohol: Drinking alcohol near the river is prohibited. Accidents are more likely to occur near the water, and we ask for your cooperation for your safety.
  4. No entering the river when the water is rising: If the river is rising (e.g., the bottom of the stairs is flooded), it is very dangerous to enter the water, so please refrain from doing so. Please check the river conditions in advance and act with safety as your first priority.
Article 5 (Regarding use of the parking lot)
  1. Disclaimer for use of parking lot: The facility will not be held responsible for any accidents or damage to your car that occurs while using the facility’s parking lot. Please use the parking lot at your own risk.
  2. Parking hours: Parking is allowed from 3:00 p.m. on the day of check-in to 12:00 p.m. on the day of check-out. Please refrain from parking during any other time.
  3. Moving after parking: Please move your car as soon as possible after check-out, as cleaning vehicles may park there.
Article 6 (Safety and Emergency Procedures)
Please follow instructions regarding emergencies, such as evacuation procedures in the event of fire alarm activation, provision of emergency contact information, etc.
Article 7 (Privacy and Protection of Personal Information)
Personal information provided will be used only for accommodation management and service provision, and will be properly protected.
Article 8 (Modification of Terms of Use)
These Terms of Use may be revised as necessary, and any revision will be notified by posting on the facility’s website.
